“Losers make promises they often break. Winners make commitments they always keep” … Denis Waitley
I know you think this blog title is a bit alarming, but to be quite honest, New Years resolutions result in broken promises. Why is that? I believe that we set ourselves up for disappointment. We make a list of resolutions, not necessarily in priority order, and then we become overwhelmed with the tasks at hand. Can I suggest that, as a start, just set one primary resolution [ aka Goal] for the New Year and direct all your energy and resources in accomplishing that goal. It must be a primary goal that will improve your life.
How do you arrive at that primary goal/resolution? Chances are, you already know what it is. It is something or a situation/condition that always haunts you and you know in the deepest resources of your being that you need to do something about it. Right?
Now comes the challenge. Overcoming the fear that the goal before you will take effort and possibly some sacrifice. Is it worth it? It probably is since you are considering it at this very moment.
So, what are you going to do now? The choice is yours as it has always been. Why not risk the possibility that your life will be healthier and richer because of the One Primary Goal / Resolution you will make!
NOW is the time for new beginnings!
